MCA UPDATE: Thursday, March 26th

Essential services and operations including trash and park maintenance will continue.  MCA essential personnel along with CTM maintenance will maintain a presence in the community while maintaining the guidelines presented by the CDC until we fully understand the impact and duration of this pandemic.

MCA UPDATE: Tuesday,  March 24th

Stapleton Community,

In compliance with the City and County of Denver’s “STAY AT HOME ORDER” issued March 23, 2020, the MCA will be closing all their playgrounds, basketball courts, volleyball courts, picnic areas and other similar areas conducive to public gathering until further notice.

The MCA and Denver parks will remain open to the public for outdoor activity with the requirement that all people comply with the Social Distancing Requirements of 6’. This citywide ordinance has been put in place to protect you, your family and our whole community. This requirement applies to walking, running, hiking or biking. The MCA will randomly monitor these spaces and dispersing groups or people not complying.

We are so fortunate and want to do all we can to maintain our active lifestyles outside.

Three points to remember so we can maintain access to the parks and outdoors –

1. Please remember as you approach another person on your walk, run, bike or hike, to create that 6’ social distance

2. Please only participate in these activities with those whom you are “sheltering at home”

3. Please do not spit in public

We appreciate your understanding at this challenging time.

MCA UPDATE: Monday, March 16th

Stapleton Community,

What a strange time this is in our world, country and community. The MCA has decided to make several changes in our community practices to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and to foster the safety and health of our community.

As you know, the CDC recommends that older adults and those with underlying health conditions avoid large gatherings.  We also believe that we have an ethical and moral opportunity to act now in mitigating community transmission, and to minimize the impact on our health care system. As the CDC has termed it, “social distancing,” is what we are advocating for at this time.

As of today, the MCA will postpone/cancel all programs, activities, events, registrations and facility rentals through April 30th, 2020.  This will include the following –

  • All swim lesson, swim program and swim team registration are postponed through April 30th, 2020
  • All summer employment including rehires, applications and interviews are postponed through April 30th, 2020
  • All Cube and Community Room rentals are canceled through April 30th, 2020
  • All park rentals are canceled through April 30th, 2020
  • All Cube events are canceled through April 30th, 2020
  • The Egg Scramble is canceled
  • Stapleton’s Got Talent is canceled
  • All MCA front desks and offices will be closed through April 30th, 2020
  • MCA staff will be answering the phones and emails Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm.  Phone (303.388.0724) Email (info@stapletoncommunity.com)

Essential services and operations including trash and park maintenance will continue.  Our staff will maintain a presence in the community while maintaining the guidelines presented by the CDC until we fully understand the impact and duration of this pandemic.

We will keep you updated through our eblasts and on our website.  Please visit our website for updated information at www.stapletoncommunity.com.

We appreciate your understanding at this challenging time.

MCA COVID-19 UPDATE: Friday, March 13th

With multiple districts closing Monday, March 16th through the beginning of April we think it is best for the safety of our staff and the community as a whole to discontinue in person support starting Monday, March 16th.

We will continue to answer phones, emails, website updates and support.

MCA COVID-19 UPDATE: Thursday, March 12th

We thought it important to update you regarding the MCA’s response to the COVID-19 situation.

Like all of you, we have been closely monitoring the reports of COVID-19. Please know that our number one priority is the safety, health, and wellbeing of our staff, community and vendors.

We are vigilantly monitoring the ongoing situation and listening carefully to the questions and concerns we receive from our community. We will continue to act and respond based on the advice of government officials, public health authorities, and medical professionals.

Currently, we will continue to review best practices and make additional enhancements as needed in order to reduce the spread of germs in our facilities.

If you are not feeling well or have recently traveled to an area where the virus has become widespread, please refrain from coming to any facilities, events or programs.  If you are unable to attend an event you have purchased a ticket for, please let us know and we will process a refund of your purchase.

We will continue to monitor the local situation and alert you of any changes in our schedule via the MCA website (www.stapletoncommunity.com), the MCA eblast, and our social media pages.
