Stapleton Outdoor Pools

The Stapleton MCA operates and maintains four outdoor recreational pool facilities that are designed to meet all of the community's needs. Generally, the pools open Memorial Day weekend and close for the season on Labor Day. Because each facility offers its own unique amenities, each pool incorporates a unique schedule and menu of programs suitable for its design. The facility schedules are intended to balance the community's demand for programming while providing uninterrupted open swim from 10 a.m. to dusk. Each pool is open to the public and fully staffed with certified lifeguards. To ensure the quality and safety of our aquatic facilities and programs, the MCA is very selective in hiring and training its aquatic staff each season.

 

All pool facilities have bathrooms, showers, and changing facilities and are equipped with barbeques and picnic facilities.

 

Aviator Pool

Aviator Pool is one of our main programming pools - with adult and youth programs running mornings and evenings throughout the week. Aviator maximizes its ability to offer a variety of programming such as the Stapleton Stingrays, adult fitness classes, swimming lessons, scuba, and springboard diving.  

Aviator is also equipped with BBQ grills and a local concessions stand. Private parties can be hosted at Aviator after open-swim hours.  Aviator also has one Party Pad available for parties held during open-swim hours.  Please contact the pool directly to schedule a party at the pool.  

Puddle Jumper Pool

We consider PJ Pool the community's children's pool, designed specifically for our young swimmers. With many play features, it's the perfect pool for toddlers and preschoolers.PJ's amenities include play structures, bubble jets, fountains and splash pads in the pool. PJ offers plenty of shallow water swimming.

PJ is also equipped with BBQ grills and a local concessions stand.  There are picnic tables available for daily use and lots of shade provided by grown trees and our shade structures. Private parties can be hosted at PJ after open-swim hours.  PJ has several Party Pads available for parties held during open-swim hours.  Please contact the pool directly to schedule a party at the pool. 

F-15 Pool

F-15 Pool offers a combination of open-swim and aquatics programming. There are also some play and water interactivity features available for young swimmers. In addition, there are always two 25-meter lap lanes available for exercise and training. Lap lanes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We offer the full suite of aquatics lessons at F-15, and the pool is framed by an open lawn area and a large playground.


F-15 is equipped with charcoal grills and a local concessions stand.  There are two picnic tables available for daily use.  Private parties can be hosted at F-15 after open-swim hours.  F-15 has two Party Pads available for parties held during open-swim hours.  Please contact the pool directly to schedule a party at the pool. 

 

Jet Stream Pool

Jet Stream is our newest pool and is the only pool facility located north of Central Park. This pool maximizes its ability to offer a variety of programming such as swim team, adult fitness classes, swimming lessons, scuba, and springboard diving.  There are lap lanes available for swimmers.

Pool Admission: Stapleton's four community pools are open to the public and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each pool has a mandatory daily capacity ranging from 200 to 400 people at the pool at any given time. All Stapleton residents ages 12 months and older access the pools using their Resident Membership Cards in lieu of the daily entrance fee.


Residents must bring their Resident Membership Cards to enter each facility.  If residents cannot present their card at the time of entry, they will be charged the daily entrance fee regardless of whether they have purchased a membership.  Please make sure you bring your Resident Membership Cards every time you access the pools.

 

All non-Stapleton residents must pay the daily entrance fee to enter the pools. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards at each facility. There is a standard daily entrance fee for all non-residents, regardless of age.  Entrance fees are non-refundable and pools do not issue rain checks in the event of inclement weather.

 

Resident Guest Passes: Stapleton residents may purchase guest passes or punch cards for the pools, which provide a discounted entry fee. However, residents must be present at the pool with their guest. We offer two types of seasonal guest passes: a five-visit punch pass and an unlimited guest pass. Please note there is a limit of four unlimited guest passes per household. Guest passes expire at the end of each season.

 

Aquatics Programming

The Stapleton MCA offers a variety of swim lessons to accommodate all ages and abilities of swimmers. Lessons are available at all four outdoor pools. Stapleton uses select teaching methods (American Red Cross standards) allowing swimmers' experience to be rewarding, with all students progressing through the sessions at their own pace. Programs include: adult fitness classes and swim conditioning, private swim lessons (all ages), group swim lessons (American Red Cross standards), and the Stapleton Stingrays swim team (Denver Parks & Recreation Swim League).
