Accessible Parking Program

People with disabilities have special parking privileges when displaying a valid disability placard, license plate or hang tag on their vehicle.

Accessible Parking Spaces: A person with a mobility disability using a valid disability placard, license plate or hang tag issued to them may park in a space marked as reserved for use by those with disabilities (formerly referred to as "handicap parking").

Accessible Parking Signs for Your Property

Accessible parking signs on the right-of-way for residents, businesses and multi-family properties:
Download the accessible parking sign application form (for Denver residents only)
Submit along with proper documentation to Right-of- Way Enforcement/APP. If your request is approved it takes at least a 45 days business days before the sign may be installed.

Street Sweeping 

Residential street sweeping season is from April through November, and Denver Public Works needs your help to keep the Mile High City clean! Residents are advised to pay attention to the red and white signs posted on their block for street sweeping parking restrictions so that Public Works can provide the best street sweeping service possible. Please be sure to move your vehicle according to the signs on your block to avoid a $50.00 parking citation.

Want a reminder about your street sweeping day?

  • Residents can sign up for street sweeping reminders through pocketgov, the City’s mobile web application. Pocketgov provides user-friendly access to city services via mobile device or a home computer. After creating a simple user profile, residents can receive both email and text notifications.

Report Abandoned Vehicles

If you would like to report a vehicle as abandoned, please call 720-865-0471 and leave the following information:

  • Address where the vehicle is located
  • Description of vehicle including make, model, year and color of the vehicle
  • License plate number of the vehicle

A deputy will respond to the location of the reported abandoned vehicle and post it with an “Abandoned Vehicle Warning”. After 72 hours, if the vehicle has not been moved at least 100ft., the vehicle will be impounded as abandoned.
