Construction/Traffic Update

Week of Jan. 13, 2019

The water line installation on Columbine Street is scheduled to be completed on Jan. 15. Once this work has been completed, the remaining portion of Steavenson Place between Josephine and Columbine streets will permanently close on Jan. 16. This road will eventually reopen as the new 46th Avenue North.

Construction Noise Information:

Construction activities will be happening day and night. Activities that occur overnight will be within the noise variance limits of 75 decibel hourly average with an allowable spike up to 86 decibels. To make a complaint about construction noise during the night call the 24-hour hotline at 833-C70-INFO (833-270-4636). DDPHE regulates the noise variance and residents may also call the city at 3-1-1. There is additional information about the variance  here.

Nighttime general construction the weeks of Jan. 13 and 20, 2019 will occur at the following locations:

  • 46th Avenue and Union Pacific Railroad crossing
  • “Local Road” closure area
  • 46th Avenue between York Street and Colorado Boulevard
    • Columbine Street at 46th Avenue
    • Steele Street and I-70
  • Colorado Boulevard between 44th and 48th avenues
  • I-70 between Colorado Blvd and Quebec St
  • Stapleton Ave (north and south) between Colorado Blvd and Quebec St
  • I-70 between Quebec Street and I-225 interchange
    • I-70 at the Peoria Street interchange
