Construction/Traffic Update

Week of May 5, 2019

Utility installations continue along 46th Avenue between York and Steele streets. Clayton and Josephine streets will close on Monday, May 6 between 46th Avenue and the Project sound wall to the south. Resident access will be maintained from 45th Avenue. Streets will reopen Friday, May 10. 

Construction Noise Information:

Construction activities will be happening day and night. Activities that occur overnight will be within the noise variance limits of 75-decibel hourly average with an allowable spike up to 86 decibels. To make a complaint about construction noise during the night call the 24-hour hotline at 833-C70-INFO (833-270-4636). DDPHE regulates the noise variance and residents may also call the city at 3-1-1. There is additional information about the variance  here.

Nighttime general construction the weeks of May 5 and 12, 2019 will occur at the following locations:

  • Brighton Boulevard and I-70 interchange
  • 46th Avenue and Union Pacific Railroad crossing
  • 46th Avenue between York Street and Colorado Boulevard
  • Colorado Boulevard between 44th and 48th avenues
  • I-70 between Colorado Boulevard and Quebec Street
  • Stapleton Drive (north and south) between Colorado Boulevard and Quebec Street
  • I-70 between Quebec Street and I-225 interchange
    • Peoria Street
    • I-270 flyover
